diy ugly christmas sweater

so you’ve been invited to an ugly christmas sweater party. only problem…you don’t have an ugly christmas sweater to wear. most retailers have caught on the this popular trend however, I decided to go the diy route and make my own! here is how I made my sweater for under $10.

what you’ll need:

-green sweatshirt {bought mine in the mens section at walmart} it is best to go one size bigger than normal for this project

-small ornaments

-hot glue gun

start by hot gluing the garland to the sweatshirt. I decided to do a diagonal pattern but you can place the garland however you wish.

next, hot glue the ornaments to the garland. be sure to glue the ornaments upside down on the sleeves so when you hold your arms up they hanging down.

number three is my favorite and they also come in gray. and number 4 remind me a lot of my sperry duck boots but are a much better price point {under $25 today!} target is also offering 40% off mens and womens sweaters as well as 30% off outerwear.

happy shopping!

new glasses

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was in 5th grade. I don’t wear them as often as I should, but there is something about getting a new frame that makes me want to wear them all the time! if you’ve ever bought frames at the eye doctor you know they are super expensive. in fact the frames I had my eye on at the doctor were $365! so instead of purchasing those,  I bought these frames online from zenni optical. they are the third pair I’ve ordered from zenni and I have been so pleased every time. they have a great selection and I was really excited to find these unique cat eye frames.

here are some others I thought were cute!
